Consul General Li Nan Visits Schools in Mid and East Antrim

On March 18, Consul General Li Nan visited Larne High School in Mid and East Antrim. He held cordial exchanges with representatives of teachers and students and delivered a presentation on China’s development achievements and people-to-people exchanges between the two sides. Principal Reid and representatives of the school’s staff and students attended the event.

Consul General Li provided a comprehensive overview of China’s basic national conditions, the latest achievements in its economic and social development, and the rich connotations of Chinese modernization. He encouraged students to actively learn the Chinese language and gain a deeper understanding of China. He also welcomed them to visit China for exchange programs, so as to experience a true, multi-dimensional and comprehensive view of China, and to contribute to the development of friendly relations between the two sides.

Reid expressed his appreciation for the Consulate General’s strong support for the school’s exchanges and cooperation with China. He noted that the event helped teachers and students develop a more objective understanding of China and expressed his hope to take this opportunity to further promote friendly exchanges among young people from both sides.

During the visit, Consul General Li also visited Seaview Integrated Primary School, Glenarm, where he observed classroom presentations, interacted warmly with pupils, and patiently answered their questions. The atmosphere was friendly and lively throughout the event.
