Notice on the Application Procedures for Health Declaration Certificate for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics & Paralympics Athletes and Participants

To reduce the risk of COVID-19, ensure the safety and convenience of all Olympics and Paralympics athletes and participants in training, competition and work during the Beijing 2022 Games, and protect the health and safety of the general public, Olympics and Paralympics athletes and participants are suggested to follow the Beijing 2022 Playbooks and required to apply for a Health Declaration Certificate (HDC) before leaving for China. For the Full text of the Beijing 2022 Playbooks, please click here.  

To apply for the HDC, Olympics and Paralympics athletes and participants need to take a COVID-19 (PCR) test within 72 hours of departure of the last leg of their flight to China. The test can be done in a regular designated clinic, the list of which can be found in Attachment I at the end of this notice, or in an approved provider exclusively for Winter Olympics and Paralympics athletes and participants, the list of which can be found in Attachment II at the end of this notice.

After receiving a test report with negative result, applicants can start the HDC application procedure. Please be noted, Winter Olympics & Paralympics should be chosen as the provider of the test if the PCR test was taken from a provider in Attachment II. For detailed instruction on HDC application procedure, please click here.
