On October 25, Consul General Li Nan met with Kathryn, Chief Executive of National Museums Northern Ireland, to exchange views on further deepening exchanges and cooperation between museum and cultural institution of the two sides.
Consul General Li said that museum and cultural institution carry rich history, art and connotations of human civilization, and museums are increasingly becoming platforms to promote cultural exchanges and dialogue among countries. Northern Ireland has a long history and profound cultural heritage. National Museums Northern Ireland and Titanic Belfast are increasingly recognized and loved by Chinese tourists. The Consulate General is willing to strengthen cooperation with the museums and cultural institutions of Northern Ireland, promote cultural exchanges and interactions between China and the UK and Northern Ireland, and enhance mutual understanding and respect between the two sides.
Kathryn accompanied Consul General to visit Ulster Museum and introduced the history and operation of the museum, noting that she attaches great importance to the Chinese culture and tourism market and is willing to continuously strengthen friendly cooperation with the Chinese side.
