Consul General Li Nan Visited Templepatrick Primary School

On February 7, Consul General Li Nan visited Templepatrick Primary School, met with Principal David Dunlop and Vice Principal Stephen Crozier, attended the school’s Chinese New Year morning assembly, toured a Chinese language workshop, and engaged warmly with the students.

Consul General Li extended his heartfelt New Year greetings to the students and faculty, emphasizing that the Spring Festival is the most significant traditional holiday for the Chinese people. He was delighted to see a growing interest in the Chinese language and culture among young people in Northern Ireland. Noting that youth are the future of China-UK/NI relations, he underscored the importance of fostering mutual understanding and friendship. He encouraged students to embrace learning Chinese, build friendships, and become young ambassadors for China-UK/NI exchanges.

Principal David Dunlop introduced the school’s history and shared details about its Chinese language program. He expressed a strong commitment to strengthening ties with China and welcomed opportunities for further cultural and educational collaboration with Chinese partners.
