On January 25, Consul General Madam Wang Shuying and Mr. Danny Wong, Chairman of Chinese Welfare Association Northern Ireland co-hosted VIP reception pre performance of “Happy Chinese New Year - Wonderful Jiangsu” at Ulster Hall in Belfast.
Deputy Lord Lieutenant of the Co Borough of Belfast Dr. Philip McGarry and Deputy Speaker of NI Assembly Mr. Danny Kennedy MLA attended and delivered remarks, among the attendants were representative of Lord Mayor of Belfast, some Mayors and deputy-Mayors of other cities, distinguished guests from local cultural and other sectors etc.
Dispatched by the Chinese Ministry of Culture, the "Happy Chinese New Year - Wonderful Jiangsu" art troupe visited Northern Ireland from January 22nd to 26th, presented two performances respectively in Londonderry and Belfast, attracted thousands of local Chinese and friends. The performances were highly welcomed and praised by audience.
