On May 26, Consul General WANG Shuying visited the Ards and North Down Borough of Northern Ireland, met with Mayor Deborah Girvan and Chief Executive Stephen Reid. During the trip, she also paid a field visit to Pritchitts company, the local foodservice division of Lakeland Dairies.

Mayor Girvan indicated that the Borough Council wishes to strengthen exchange and co-operation with foreign countries, particularly China. Chief Executive Reid gave a general briefing about the Borough, while General Manager Tim Acheson of Pritchitts introduced its business in China.

Consul General Wang briefed about the recent progress of China-NI friendly relationship and its current good momentum. She emphasized that there lied potentials for the win-win co-operations between China and the Ards and North Down Borough and the Consulate-General was willing to work together with all the local sectors to make it more fruitful.
