Consul General Wang Shuying Attended China-EU Year of Tourism Lighting Ceremony In Belfast

March 2nd is the Lantern Festival of Chinese New Year. Consul General Wang Shuying and Lord Mayor of Belfast Nuala McAlister attended Chinese Red lighting ceremony at the Belfast City Hall square that evening.

The ceremony is part of the 2018 China-EU Year of Tourism programme, aiming to promote tourist and cultural exchanges between Belfast and China. In this evening, the landmark buildings such as Belfast City Hall, Titanic Belfast, Belfast Waterfront, and the dome of Victoria Square were lit up with Chinese Red. The representatives of local officials, friends and Chinese community attended the ceremony as well.
