On 16 April 2015, Consul General Wang Shuying met the newly-elected Lord Mayor of Belfast Arder Carson and expressed sincere congratulations to the latter. Lord Mayor Carson said that the new city council would continue being committed to develop relations with China. Both sides promised to work closely to promote the bilateral friendly exchange and cooperation to a new level.
